Description

Sedalac syrup contains lactulose which is an osmotic laxative that relieves constipation. Lactulose increases the stool water content softening the stool and easing bowel movements. It is also used as an adjunctive therapy in hepatic encephalopathy. Chronic use of unadjusted doses or misuse may lead to chronic diarrhea and electrolyte imbalance. Sedalac syrup can be used in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
